Bedford, New Hampshire — Independent since 1953
Warm hearts for cold noses.
Locally owned and proudly independent, we practice relationship-driven veterinary medicine—free to make every decision for your pet, not a corporation. Compassionate, individualized, gold-standard care for every patient.

Since 1953
Our Promise
Bedford Animal Hospital has been part of the fabric of this community since 1953—trusted and proudly independent for more than seven decades. In a time of widespread corporate consolidation, we remain locally owned and deeply rooted in New Hampshire, free to practice medicine with integrity, autonomy, and heart.
Since 2025, under the leadership of Dr. Sarah Gorman, Bedford Animal Hospital has entered a new chapter—one that honors our legacy while embracing thoughtful modernization. As our facility, technology, and medical capabilities continue to evolve, our guiding philosophy remains unchanged: compassionate, individualized, gold-standard care for every patient.
Families throughout our community have trusted us with their pets for generations. When clients walk through our doors, they are met with warmth, honesty, and clear communication. Pets are treated with gentleness and respect, and cared for as if they were our own.
Our team of veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client care professionals share a deep commitment to animal health and well-being. We invest in continuing education, mentorship, and collaboration because exceptional medicine begins with a supported and empowered team.
From routine wellness care and preventive medicine to advanced diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and compassionate end-of-life care, we are honored to be part of every stage of a pet’s life. Whether celebrating new beginnings or guiding families through difficult goodbyes, we are here.
At Bedford Animal Hospital, our mission is simple and enduring: warm hearts for cold noses. It’s more than a tagline—it’s how we show up for our patients, our clients, and each other, every single day.
